The Online Educa Berlin 2003 Conference looks like something of interest for those involved in using technology for the acquisition and management of knowledge. Last year it was attended by both educationalists and business people.
What occupies me at present
I am trying to keep up with research into the use of weblogs in knowledge management and in education, but quite a bit of my spare time is going into learning to run my own mySQL database with a view to using this for a weblog. The purpose is to establish for myself the best ways of structuring knowledge. Maybe I will find an existing open source product that will suit, but for the moment I need to understand more about the technology under the hood.
I have a database running on an Apache server at home, but it will be a while before I upload this to the public site. So, plenty of HTML, PHP, and SQL to learn. But then I have always enjoyed the learning curve.
